Explain, Reply cards, and a better Generate

• AddedExplain defines words and phrases or explains a passage in a card beside your selection. Your original stays unchanged, and Copy is always your choice.
• ImprovedReply opens a draft ready to paste. Add a hint about what it should say, or try another draft, while leaving the incoming message unchanged.
• ImprovedGenerate has tone and speed choices, one-click refinements, formatted copying, clearer errors, and keyboard shortcuts for drafting in conversation.

A Welcome tour, and a shortcut that holds

• AddedAfter first sign-in, a Welcome tour explains the shortcut, wheel, Ask, Reply, Undo, and closing the app. Try a practice rewrite, skip, or replay it from General → Show Welcome Tour. Settings offers Launch at startup. Account shows remaining daily rewrites and their reset time in your local time.
• ChangedAfter your first three rewrites, a cursor check replaces success notifications. Failed rewrites show a red cursor alert. Copy-only results and failures still notify.
• FixedHolding the shortcut no longer closes the wheel or cancels capture. Shortcuts without Ctrl no longer cancel themselves. The picker blocks shortcuts that take over typing. Direct selection detection in WebView2 apps, including new Teams and Outlook, avoids a long pause before Ask. Long Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai selections are checked before sending to prevent cut-off rewrites.
• SecurityGoogle and Facebook sign-in hand the app a one-time code, keeping session tokens out of the browser’s address bar.

The wheel stays until you pick

The shortcut always opens the wheel, and the wheel stays until you pick an action or cancel. Store installs can launch at startup without breaking after an update.

• RemovedQuick rewrite (the Shift shortcut). The primary shortcut always opens the wheel.

The pause between pressing your hotkey and seeing Lightphrase respond is shorter, especially when you already have text selected.
